The objective of the group is very simple:

  • we choose a play
  • we all attend the performance
  • we discuss the play

The play to be discussed is selected by a consensus of the group and could be a live performance by a local group such as Eastern Angles, perhaps a play in Ipswich or Norwich, or a National Theatre Live broadcast relayed by satellite to The Riverside in Woodbridge and other local cinemas and theatres or at home via a streaming service such as ntathome.

We meet at members' homes; discussions are open and informal and cover all aspects of the theatre experience, the plot, characters, acting, themes, music, costumes, and more.

Members find that the experience of going to the theatre is enhanced by the discussion afterwards.  If you’re already keen on the theatre or want to broaden your theatre going experience, this is the group for you.

There are currently no spaces for more members.
